"Slender: The Arrival" is a first-person survival horror and psychological horror game developed by Parsec Productions and published by Blue Isle Studios, following the story of two friends, Lauren and Kate.

The game takes place several years after the events of the first game, "Slender: The Eight Pages". In this review, I will cover the main topics about the game.

What is the basic premise of the game?

You need to find 8 pages, just like in the previous game, but with a much more detailed setting and puzzles to solve.

How is the gameplay?

In Slender: The Arrival, you need to find the 8 pages without being caught by the Slenderman, whose AI is improved compared to the previous game. Additionally, you will face new challenges beyond just the Slenderman.

What are the main horror elements present in the game?

The soundtrack, ambient sounds, and the appearance of the enemies are the fundamental components that make the game scarier.

Does the game have an engaging story?

If you play paying attention to the story, yes, it has essential characteristics that make the game's plot more intriguing. The papers you find throughout the game will give you clues about what happened to Kate.

Does the game offer good value for money?

The game costs $11.99 on Steam. For this price, the game delivers what it promises: a horror story involving one of the biggest creepypasta on the internet.

What are the strengths of the game?

Certainly, after this remaster, the game received new life, making it much more thrilling to be chased by the Slender. Additionally, the new enemies bring new mechanics to the game.

What are the main criticisms of the game?

Its duration can be a point to consider, as after finishing the game, you might still want to keep playing.

Is the game very repetitive?

In the parts involving the pages and the gasoline, yes, the game is a bit repetitive. Besides that, it shifts focus from puzzles to showing a bit of the story.

What is the average duration of the game?

It took me about 5 hours and 40 minutes to finish the game. The average duration of the game is around 2 hours, but I believe this is outdated, according to HowLongToBeat.

Does the game support multiple languages?

Slender: The Arrival supports the following languages:

  • English
  • Traditional Chinese
  • Spanish - Spain
  • Simplified Chinese
  • Russian
  • Portuguese - Portugal
